  • Cyberpunk Documentary. William Gibson talks about cyberpunk. There is a rumor about this documentary that Gibson is apparently embarrassed by it.

  • Naked Lunch dir. David Cronenberg. Based on William S. Burroughs' 1959 novel with the same name. Burroughs also has a small part in the movie.
  • Terminator 2: Judgement Day dir. James Cameron. Sequel to The Terminator made in 1984.

1992

  • Alien3 dir. David Fincher. 3 rd in the Alien movie series. William Gibson wrote one of the many scripts for Alien 3. According to him, only one detail from his script made its way to the actual film: the bar codes visible on the backs of the prisoners' shaved heads.
  • Freejack dir.Geoff Murphy. Based on Sheckley's book Immortality Inc.
  • The Lawnmower Man dir. Brett Leonard. Loosely based on a Stephen King story. King successfully sued to have his name removed from the film since he did not approve of the adaptation. The film also takes inspiration from Daniel Keyes’s Flowers of Algernon and Arthur C. Clarke’s Dial F for Frankenstein.
  • Sneakers dir. Phil Alden Robinson.
  • Until the End of the World dir. Wim Wenders.

  • Ghost in the Machine dir. Rachael Talalay.
